So this is the last sailor moon related thing for a whille (well other then the other Chibi's and the manga which will eventually finish)
I will not being doing stars cause a) i don't own it and b) i don't like it.... at all... not even a little
In my opinion Super S is my favorite season of the show mostly because the focus on them being sailor scouts is kinda downplayed....
This season has a lot of character growth, Ami finds out that she can do even more then study all the time, rei figures our that putting a persona out there can hurt others and it's better to be yourself....
Minako and Mako... um.... figure out being pretty is alright and plants are are cool? ok so some grow more then others... m ypoint is this season has something that S completely forgot about.... S could have been done by sailor moon all alone and nothing would have been different where this one they really felt like a team.
also like i mentioned Super S focuses on my two fav characters, Chibi Usa and Helios, i know a lot of people hate her... i don't... yes she is extremely annoying at first but she grows a lot throughout the three seasons... and helios is just an awesome Alicorn.

yeah i dunno why they call him pegasus through the entire season... pegasus... pegasi? ugh... they don't have horns.... and he does.... technicaly...
also as a side note i think the enemy design are the most creative in this season... even more creative then Stars where i feel like are kinda rehashing the same ideas (chibi chibi anyone... and i like her too but you have admit the odangos have been done to death by this point.)
I am really looking forward to the new/reimaging/whatever it ends up being in 2013... i hope that they don't try to ruin it with moe or anything like that... but i have a feelign everything is going to be okay....
part of me wants it to take place in the far fututre but the rumors seem to be that it's most likely going to be a reimaganing thats closer to the manga.... guess we'll see since i don't think anything has been confirmed.
but now that i'm all done rewatching sailor moon.... what should i watch..... something that will keep me busy considering once all the shows end this season i'm going to have to queue up my reviews >< or bambard you guys with a bunch... guess i'll figure that out when we come to it.

Completed: Uncut Sailor moon R
so.... i had actually drawn some art for this review....
but then my computer (more specifically windows) decided it didn't want to work anymore and wouldn't let me open anything.... or scan anything.... so yeah... *sighs* looks like i get to reformat the sucker in my non-existant free time....
anyways way back when ADV put out uncut season two, i'm 95% sure i got this before i got season one.... but it was a long time ago and a blur.... all i remember was it was really expensive and the most expensive show i owned at the time (considering i was 14 or 15 at the time i quickly surpasses that with haruhi season 1... but thats a story for another time)
However i look at how much it goes for now and i can't stop giggling.
This was one of the first shows i really loved.... i enjoyed dragon ball but i LOVED this.
even though some of it is cory and a lot of it (especially near the start) is badly drawn i simply adore this show.... the nostalgia goggles are glues to my head and i'm not even going to try and take them off.
so yeah... to say the least i'm excited abotu the new season/reboot/whatever it ends up being in 2013
i do own S and Super S (though they are bootlegs which made me so angry cause if you haven't guessed i try to buy everything legit you may call me a sucker but i feel i'm supporting an industry i love) and i may do reviews of them later or i may go to watch another show... haven't decided.
also new season of shows starts soon... i think the only one i'm super excited for is little busters (thats this season right?) but otherwise i'll just give everythign a shot and hope i'm not disappointed.
oh right... review..
um...the first 10-13 episodes (ein and an arc) always fet out of place to me cause they have nothing to do with the villian that is technically the villian for every season.... then i read the manga and realized it's because they weren't there originally...
it's not my favorite season (Super S is if you are curious) but i do like the episodes with Diamondo and Saphir and esmaraud quite a lit... so much character development....
anyways great show, i love it moreso cause of childhood but what can you do
i'll get my comp working eventually and post art... maybe

Completed: Magic Knight Rayearth (anime/spoilers)
Yes i'm going to focus mainly on the Anime but honestly.... all CLAMP Anime follows extremely close to it's manga counterpart.
So Magic Knight Rayearth is pretty easy explain. there are a bunch of school who have gone to Tokyo tower for a field trip and there is a bright light... suddenly one girl from each of the three schools gets teleported to the land of Cephiro.
They see the large ocean, a floating island and a large volcano in the distance as they hurtle through the sky towards their death.... luckily a giant flying fish saves them.
they meet a very small man in a very funny outfit named Clef and he explains that Cephiro is a land controlled by ones will, he then teaches them magic and explains they need to save the pillar of this world and grant her wish before they can return to Tokyo.
To be able to grant the princess' wish they need first get weapons made of a certain material that will evolve as they get stronger and then they need to find the Rune gods to be able to fight off the high priest Zagato.... then clef gets turned into stone and the girls have to navigate this foreign world on their own.
they meet friends and some characters even die and eventually they get the weapons and the rune gods and they defeat Zegato before they find out that he is not the final Boss...the princess is... see she's tired of praying for the world and wants to be with Zegato but will only be able to be with him in death...
oh yeah totally a happy fun time magical girl story.... ok.... where to start.
The good:
Despite seeming like your typical magic girl show it has some fairly dark themes, characters die for good (... well... at least in this season... i'll get into that later) others get injured and bleed.... and in the end even though your just trying to complete your mission of granting the wish of the pillar of this world you have to soil your hands with the blood of someone who has done you no wrong
Also, even thought Hikaru is technically seen as the leader of the group there is no real leader.... by that i mean in shows like sailor moon when new powers are given it tends to go...
Sailor moon>Mercury>Mars>Jupiter>nevus.... almost always this order.... slight variations randomly but nothing major.
In MKR it's random... each of them have a chance at being the one to learn the skill first or get the first rune god.... you don't see this a lot in magical girl anime so yeah.... bonus.
The character design is really good, extremely colourful and just pretty to look at... i believe (i'm probably wrong) MKR was their breakout hit that put CLAMP on the map... and it's easy to see why, the story is well done and the characters are likable....
The not so good:
Mokona.... i don't like this thing only because it feels a little cheap when that go "oh we need this" then Mokona pops in and goes "Puu Puu~" and magically they now have what they need. it's just way too easy and honestly it doesn't add to the plot at all (well.... in the first season at least....)
the animation, epecially for filler episodes, is not the best.... this is in part because of clamps style not easily translating from Manga to Anime... but it's better then macross which is a plus.
Forgettable.... i've read the manga and watched the show 2 or three times now... and i still barely remember whats going to happen next... it's just this blank void in my mind.... don't know why.
The dvd.... I have the media blaster dvd release which just plays the english right when you pop it in.... so i have to hear a few seconds of that terrible english dubbed intro while i hunt for the remote to get to the Japanese settings...
so yeah it's not a bad show but it's not my favorite CLAMP adaptation.... no that will forever be held by Cardcaptor Sakura... but that's for another time.
